MB Teen Lifestyle is a social enterprise with a core purpose of decreasing the vulnerability of adolscents and young people to social ills. An endorsed implementation partner of the Department of Education.
Our Approach
- Social Ills prevention: We address issues such as Early Unintended Pregnancies, Gender Based Violence, HIV & STI's, Mental Health, Climate Change and Recidivism using Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights as a strategic entry point.
- Life Skills Development: We focus on building critical thinking, decision-making, communication, and healthy relationship skills to help young people make positive choices, while exposing them to opportunities to generate income through social entrepreneurship to ensure sustainability.
- Positive Identity Building: We foster self-esteem, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence to empower young people to resist negative influence and take up leadership roles in their schools and communities.
- Community Collaboration: We work with schools, families, and community and organizations to create a network of support for adolescents and young people to identify local challenges and co-create solutions through workshops, mentorship, and project-based learning.
- Youth Voice Amplification: We believe young people are valuable assets in creating solutions. We actively involve them in program design and advocacy efforts, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to tackle pressing issues and further creating space for them to enhance their activism safely.

ANNUAL BRICS SUMMER SCHOOL
Earlier this month the South African Brics Youth Association (SABYA)hosted their annual Brics Summer School, bringing together 100 learners from 13 different schools in 4 different provinces. We caught up with Mr Raymond Matlala who is the Executive Chairman and Founder of SABYA to hear what it’s all about and how young people can participate in their amazing programs.
