The Young Urban Women’s Movement (Mamelodi) recently hosted Mantsha Tlala, a day dedicated to sisterhood and support. By sharing warm meals and pre-loved clothes with children and adolescents in our community, we are doing more than just donating—we are building a safety net for one another.
When we look after our neighbors, we challenge a world that often tells us to only look after ourselves. This is what we call a “Feminist Alternative”—choosing care and collective well-being over everything else. ✊✨

Earlier this month the South African Brics Youth Association (SABYA)hosted their annual Brics Summer School, bringing together 100 learners from 13 different schools in 4 different provinces. We caught up with Mr Raymond Matlala who is the Executive Chairman and Founder of SABYA to hear what it’s all about and how young people can participate in their amazing programs.
